Taken as an alternative trail to Khumbu region trekking, join the exciting Arun Valley Khumbu Trek and walk through the classical trail which links lowlands of eastern Nepal with High land of Khumbu (Mount Everest Region). Explore the wonders of Arun Valley that stretches between Mount Everest and Makalu Barun National Park. Tread along off-the-beaten trail which is used by natives in Khumbu region to trade with the cities in lower Nepal.

Enjoy the epic mountain views of Mount Everest, Baruntse, Nuptse, Makalu, Lhotse, Thamserku, Amadablam and other snow-clad mountains. Move across the verdant woods that provide shelter to more than 650 species of birds which make Arun Valley Khumbu Trek heaven for bird watchers. Along with popular bird watching destination, the forest in Arun Valley is also known for providing shelter to 800 species of butterflies and Move along the trail colored by blooming alpine flowers like orchid. The trail continues through the culturally rich Sherpa villages.

Arun Valley Khumbu Trek itinerary at Action Himalaya Adventure Pvt. Ltd. is 20 days package. Domestic flight from TIA, Kathmandu will take us high above clouds through mountains to Tumlingtar airstrip. Tumlingtar is the sub tropical town located near to Arun River. An easy but long walk along Arun River will take us to Chyawabesi. From Chyawabesi (280m), the trail continues to the pretty settlement of Kote. We will follow the trail through forest to the foothill of Salpa Phedi (1680m).

We will cross Salpa La and observe some of the breathtaking sights of mountains and nearby landscapes and then lower down to Guranse (2880m) which take us further to the culturally rich village of Sanam (2850m). The trail continues through Bung to the grazing land of Gaikharka (2300m). We will climb to Puiyan (2830m) and continue our walk to Phakding (2830m). Namche Bazaar (3444m) which locates near to Phakding is the gateway of Everest Region.

We will visit the largest monastery of Everest region at Tengboche (3875m) and reach the Sherpa settlement of Pheriche (4240m). After taking brief rest, we will visit Kalapatthar (5540m) through Lobuche (4930m). Kalapatthar is one of the best vantage points in Everest Region that gives best sunset view at Mount Everest. The return trail traces back to Tengboche from Kalapatthar. We will reach Lukla by passing through the villages of Khumjung (3779m) and Jorsalla (2800m). From Lukla, we will take a flight back to Kathmandu.
