Mount Kailash and the holy Manasarovar Lake are two jewels of Mount Kailash Tour package. One of the most sacred places of entire Asia- Mount Kailash is located in the desolate Southwestern Tibet at an altitude of 6714m from sea level. Kailash Mountain has been described as “compel, dome- shaped peak, rising above a desolately beautiful 13,000 ft plateau of rainbow- colored rocks.”

Kailash Mountain holds utmost importance in four major religions of Asia including Hinduism, Buddhism, Ancient Bon Po religion and Jain religion. Hindus take Mount Kailash as the home of Lord Shiva, the God of destruction. Tibetans consider Kailash as Kang Rimpoche while people following Bon Po know Kailash as the soul of Tibet and Kailash is Mount Ashtapada for Jain. Kailash holds sacred place in Jain religion as it was in Kailash Mountain that the Saint Rishabanatha attained spiritual liberation

Although being religiously importance, Kailash receives only few visitors each year due to being difficult in gaining access. Mount Kailash pilgrimage tour takes you to Mount Kailash, single rotation of which is believe to cleanse the sins that you have committed in this life. If you are ardent believer, you can take 108 complete rotations which will make you liberated from chains of life and death.

Action Himalaya Adventure (P.) Ltd. currently offers 13days Mount Kailash overland Tour. We will drive through Araniko Highway from Kathmandu and cross the friendship bridge near Kodari to Zhangmu. We will reach Nyalam and drive through Saga to Manasarovar Lake which is the lake of wisdom. Rotation of Mount Kailash begins and ends at Darchen. We will return to Kathmandu over land through Zhangmu and then you will depart with wonderful memories of Mount Kailash Tour.

Day 3 : Drive Kathmandu to Nyalam (3700m)

Day 4 : Acclimatization in Nyalam

Day 5 : Drive: Nyalam to Saga (4600m) 240km 5hrs drive

Day 6 : Drive: Saga to Manasarovar (4560m) 450km 8hrs drive

Day 7 : Rest day at Manasarovar Lake

Day 8 : Drive to Darchen (4620m) 1hr drive

Day 9 : Drive to Shersong/ Tarboche (13km) Trek to Dirapuk (4860m) 7km 6hrs

Day 10 : Trek to Zuthulpuk (4760m) 18km 9hrs

Day 11 : Zuthulpuk to Darchen trek 10km 4hrs, Drive to Saga 9hrs

Day 12 : Drive Saga to Zhangmu (Kodari) Border to Kathmandu (340km, 8hrs)
