Also known as Kanchenjunga Panorama View Trek, trekking in Milke Danda is the off the beaten trail trekking to Far Eastern Nepal. It is the forested ridge of Milke Danda that separates Arun Valley with Tamor Valley. The hilltop of Milke Danda offers panoramic views of four highest mountains of the world including Makalu and Kanchenjunga Mountains. Besides the mountain views, Milke dada Trekking is famous for the remote trail that swings forth through the array of the colorful forest of blooming rhododendrons and other high alpine flowers and herbs.
Milkedanda is one of the four major areas for rhododendron treks, other areas being Upper Tamur River, Langtang Valley and Makalu Barun. The forested ridge of Milke Danda stretches up to 25km territory and over 20species of rhododendrons are available in Milkedada.
Action Himalaya Adventure (P.) Ltd. is offering 13days Milke danda camping trek. An early flight will take us to Biratnagar from Kathmandu. We will take a ride to Basantapur from where our trekking begins. We will pass through the village of Chauki to Guphapokhari which leads us further to Milkedanda. The return trail will be through the culturally rich settlement of Nundhaki to Siddhapokhari which is the beautiful lake full of sparkling water. We will pass through the settlement of Kharang to Tumlingtar from where we will catch the flight to Kathmandu. Spring is the best season for Milke Danda Trekking while April is the best month for Milke Danda Trek as 29out of 32species of rhododendrons that are available in Nepal can be seen in its full bloom in April.
