"Lower Solukhumbhu Cultural Trek is a 13-day package offered by the Action Himalaya which takes the trekkers to the region of Mount Everest, the world’s tallest peak. As the name itself suggests, the trekkers during the course of the Solukhumbhu Cultural Trek have the opportunity to explore more about the region of Solukhumbbhu where the Mount Everest is located. Besides the opportunity of sightseeing and hiking along the Khumbhu region, the prospective trekkers will get the chance to explore and understand more about the cultures in Solukhumbhu region and also about the values and traditions still followed by the Sherpas living in the region. The Cultural Trek in the region of Solukhumbhu starts from the Capital city of Kathmandu when you board a flight to Lukla. In about 35 minutes, you will reach the village town of Lukla also known as the gateway to the Everest. The mountain flight will be no less than adventure in itself as you will enjoy the scenic views of the mountains before landing at the Airport. After landing at the Airport, you will then start your trek to nearby Phaplu. Besides interacting with the local villagers about their way of life and about their old traditions, the trekkers can also get the chance to explore the popular Chyalsa Monastery in the Solukhumbhu region. The regions of Nunthapa, Kharikhola and Junbesi are some of the highlights of the cultural trek. Upon completion of the trekking, you will return back to Kathmandu via Junbesi and Phaplu."
